We’re James and Kelly, the couple behind Two In Transit, sharing our journey from busy everyday lives to a dream of exploring the world on our own terms.
Our story began in 2020, when we met during the COVID pandemic. Little did we know that meeting each other would eventually lead us on a journey of adventure, travel and dreams of seeing the world together.
James is 46 and works as a Housing Location Manager, while Kelly is 49 and works for the NHS. With two demanding jobs and busy lives, we decided in 2022 that we wanted to make more time for adventure, travel and experiencing everything the world has to offer. James also has two grown-up children from a previous marriage, and like many people, we’ve had to balance work, family and everyday responsibilities while chasing our dreams.
We started travelling together in 2022 and soon realised we wanted to do more than just take holidays. We wanted to document our adventures, share the places we discovered and inspire others to get out there and explore. That’s when we started our YouTube channel, Two In Transit.
In 2023, we took the next big step and bought a van to convert into our own campervan. Our vision was to create a home on wheels that would give us the freedom to travel further, stay longer and eventually leave the nine-to-five lifestyle behind to explore the world full-time.
Since then, our adventures have taken us to some incredible destinations, including Iceland, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Greece. From discovering unfamiliar cultures and exploring far-flung destinations to learning the realities of vanlife and travelling on the road, every experience has brought us closer to the life we want to live.
Our ultimate dream is to set off on a full-time adventure, travelling to far-off places, discovering the world at our own pace and documenting the journey along the way.
Two In Transit is about more than travel and vanlife. It’s about making the most of the time we have, stepping outside our comfort zones and proving that it’s never too late to chase a dream.
